The 2010 Artist in Action is Sara
Sutton. Sara is originally from Hunter's Valley, which is in
Liverpool, PA. Her husband and she now reside near Burnham, PA. She
attended Indiana University of PA and got a Bachelor of Science
degree in Art Education, as well as a BFA in Sculpture, with a minor
in Fiber Arts. Sara says, "...My "art" focus seems to change every
few years, lately I paint a lot more, but include some collage. Most
of my work is started through examples for my students and then (I)
can't put them down." Sara is currently teaching Art at Juniata High
School for grades 9-12. She has been teaching for 4½ years. |
